Hi, I’m Lisa — the heart behind Rustic Paws Retreat & Spa.
This place was born from love — a deep, enduring love for animals and the peace they bring into our lives. I live on this little farm with my dogs, goats, and horses, where the air is fresh, the fields are wide, and the care is always personal. Every dog who comes here is treated like family, because that’s what they are.
My journey into grooming and pet care was shaped by years of rescuing, rehabilitating, and raising animals. But it was my German Shepherd, Radar, who changed everything. He was more than a companion — he was my shadow, my comfort, my reminder that dogs know the language of the soul.
When I lost him, I knew I needed to build something beautiful in his honor — a place where dogs would be cherished, where they could play, rest, and be gently groomed with love and intention.
Rustic Paws is for Radar, and for every dog who has ever left paw prints on a heart.
